In my blog entitled, “Moving Forward…” published on October 10, 2010, I resolved to go on with my blogging activities after a week’s contemplation as to whether or not to leave the blogosphere.
Indeed, time flies as today, myusefultips.com is one year old! It was just like yesterday that I was smitten abruptly by the blogging world primarily to get my thoughts out there on many facets of life which I believe should need more advocacies. That is reflective in the blog categories which cover almost the things that I most advocate for… to promote quality of life. I really had no idea that it will go this far considering the time constraints and other personal priorities. While it was fun blogging, there were times that I couldn’t even say or write a single word and that was frustrating.
Nevertheless, it has been a remarkable year for myusefultips with varied meaningful posts in a row and lots of wonderful images showcased for its readers and kibitzers out there. Hence, how can it go wrong, how can it simply disappear in thin air? I’ve been a witness to the evolution and transformation of this blog from barely one or two readers mainly from supportive family members and friends to hundreds of legitimate and not-so legit visitors and page views from around the world! I am blown away by the support and encouragement of these people whom I haven’t met yet. You guys actually made this blog, you gave myusefultips.com the spirit, drive and the inspiration to carry on and to be a better blogger!
The one year experience taught me so many things. I realized one can contribute to make the world a better place to live in through writing and sharing experiences. It’s not easy to compose an article, definitely it takes practice, passion and vast experience to make an awesome post and perfect it. All I can say is that I’ve learned to LOVE this craft and I thought blogging likes me too!
In behalf of myusefultips.com, I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to you all, silent and vocal readers for taking time out to drop by, for visiting, liking or even "lurking" this humble web place, for commenting and scrutinizing the posts and lastly for your unwavering support!
Perhaps, I should say, HAPPY FIRST YEAR ANNIVERSARY to all of us!!! What a journey it has been! Cheers! Te amo, Je t’aime, Gua ai di, Mahal kita, Dai su ki, Kocham cie, Main tum say pyar karta hoon. Naku penda, Te iubesc, Ti amo, Saya cinta padamu, Main tumse pyar karta hun, Ani ohev otach, Ich liebe dich, Ana behibak, Tangsinul sarang ha yo, Phom Rak Khun, etc. and I LOVE YOU ALL!!!
Please be reminded that the blovesary fun contest is still on-going and it ends on March 18. You are all invited. Check the post on this.
Hello everyone! This month I would like to share a special and unique anniversary with you all. On the last week of February is the first birthday of myusefultips.com. And to celebrate it, I will be posting a blog on the day itself of the anniversary specifically about its experience and related stuffs. To top it all, myusefultips will be hosting a give-away as an expression of gratitude to you all for being part of this blog! Since this is the month of LOVE, I’ll call it “BLOVEsary give-away”. The give-away requires a challenge and participation from you. It’s a writing contest of anything under the sun! Perhaps it could touch about your love life, yourself, your advocacy in life, your experience as a migrant worker, your passion and so on and so forth. This is mainly for us to have fun on the web and to get to know each other fairly well.
1. The contest will start today and last for a month, until the 18th of March, 11:59 p.m. (there is a significant reason for this). This is also to give you ample time to compose the article. It could be a one or two-page write-up (single space). The write-up should be in English.
2. It’s open to all. Local and international, old and new readers/followers/visitors of myusefultips are welcome to participate. Teens, under 18 yrs of age, should get their parents permission first before participating.
3. To paticipate in and enter the "blovesary" give-away contest, just comment on this post with the write-up to be attached and sent to email@example.com.
4. There will be 3 Winners (in any order) and they will be notified via email. Prizes will be on first come-first served basis. First response gets the first choice of prize, second response gets their first choice if it’s still available, otherwise their second choice and so on. If a winner does not reply within a week, a new winner will be selected.
5. Myusefultips.com has the discretion to change the prizes without prior notice and likewise terminate the contest should problem arise.
1. Winners will have the option to choose a selection of give-aways, as shown below (photos may not register the actual appearance of the products): a Taste of Home quick cooking tips book, simple MP3 players, Victoria Secret sports sexy top,

My blog is 8 months old now and I recall it was almost springtime when it was launched. The trees at Forest Park have started to grow leaves in full and spread and so was my blogging!

It's fall season now and it's a beautiful time of year, full of color and crisp fresh air. Autumn leaves are colorful, bright, warm and vibrant.

However, they gently fall off tree and wither eventually.
To some, blogging may be likened to an autumn leaf. As it progresses, the passion for writing becomes intense and the topics tend to be more interesting and challenging. However, the pressure of meeting project deadlines, the depressing moments, the technical failures, the lack of inspiration and the times when the blogger’s head isn’t just into it, may lead one to take a leap of faith, hopefully not seriously considering quitting….but simply relaxing for a moment!
That’s what happening to me and probably a chunk of billion bloggers in the web now. I understand there are bloggers whose blogs have dropped off the radar. That’s normal but quite disappointing especially if the reasons behind it are flimsy (e.g. lack of traffic, meager revenues and the like). My case is different. While there are so many things to write about under the sun, the inner drive and motivation aren’t working in my favor. It’s just I don’t like or feel writing. Expert bloggers would normally recommend to take time off and comeback to it when everything is normal!
But how can a blogger relinquish his/her very first pet blog project even for a time being? How can an assertive, open-minded and vocal person continue to express opinion on world issues without being visible in the blogosphere? I am just a simple person with simple dreams. I want to help change our world to be a better place to live in. I am not a journalist who's either fairly protected under existing journalistic laws or free as a bird, so to speak, to make commentaries whether in print or online. But I am delighted to be one of the bloggers who in their unique creative ways are able to contribute and shout to the whole world great ideas on certain global and relevant issues.
I didn’t know that I would go this far, as far as blogging is concerned. I thought it was simply one of my whims and caprices. It was a spur-of-the moment thing-didn’t know where it’s heading as a matter of fact. I didn’t have any slightest idea that I would be able to express what’s in my mind and heart. All I know, I merely wanted to express my views and I am just glad I have learned to love writing. The die is cast! Blogging for me may be like an autumn leaf, colorful as it is, but definitely not going to fall from where it is now. I can’t refrain from my blogging activities……. I’m determined to keep this for life!
So, my dear readers, friends and family members, please bear with me if from time to time, I’ll take a nap to enjoy a little bit for myself. However, I want you to know that I really appreciate your effort of dropping by my web place, the awesome comments and most of all the joy that you bring to my life!
If you have suggestions on how to enjoy writing, feel free to shoot me a note and thank you for your comments.
